Presentation of the European House of French Local Authorities
The European House of French Local Authorities has been created by the 5 largest national associations of locally elected representatives in order to structure, amplify and co-ordinate their activities at EU level. In December 2005, the Presidents of these associations ratified a common agreement on how to deal with European issues. This co-operation is implemented both at national level, throughout a reinforced collaboration between the associations’ EU departments and at European level thanks to the creation of a common office based in Brussels.
